You can enjoy shooting at the Canberra International Clay Target Club if you’re a member of the Australian Clay Target Association or Field and Game Australia. The Target Club makes it easy for people to join if you’re interested in becoming a member.
The Target Club offers clay pigeon shooting in all its forms, including ball trap, double trap, trench, skeet, down-the-line, and simulated field shooting. The venue offers two sections for each shooting experience. The first part is an introduction of sorts, as you’ll learn how to handle a shotgun and how to use the proper shooting technique. The second segment is a scored competition where you can compete with others in your group to see who is the best shooter. You can participate in a group of up to twenty people for shooting sessions at the club.

The Majura Park Gun Club in the northern end of the ACT is the other clay pigeon shooting site to see in the Canberra area. Majura Park caters to trap, skeet, and sporting shooters alike.
The Gun Club can help you get your firearms licence. You can join the Gun Club and the Sporting Shooters’ Association of Australia to get started in earning your licence. The team offers support for licences in both the ACT and New South Wales.
The Gun Club will provide the necessary equipment for your shooting experience. You’ll get a shotgun, shooting vest, hearing protection, and 25 cartridges and clay targets for your shooting experience. You’ll also receive guidance from one of the certified instructors at the Gun Club to help you learn how to handle your rifle well.
